Hi I am Joey - and yes I am a yogi. This all started a few years back but if it wasnt for the skills I learned on my mat I would not have been a member of the canadaian swim team and national record holder in 6 events. My practice of yoga started during a time in my life when I trained 6 days a week 12 months a year in and out of the pool. Despite learning breath control in the hundreds of hours swimming it wasn't until my first yoga class when I feel like I learned how to really breath. That kind of deep connection with ones self is what drives me to learn, explore and experiment. My intention for teaching is to allow others to feel a greater connection with them selves and the universe - and maybe get a stronger and more limber body in the process.
