I came across the art of yoga in 2001. I acquired a bad back as a result of a fall from Scaffolding. I went to all the avenues you can think of to achieve relief including cortisome shots. Nothing worked. I could not sit down for almost 2 years. Then I started to attend yoga classes and I really started to feel relief. I attended 2 - 3 classes a weeks and within 3 months I was feeling like a new person. I was able to go to the movies again and to dinner. I have kept up my practice and in 2010 I attended the 200 hour “Yoga Certification Course” with Deva Tree. Once I graduated, I taught classes at a Studio in Tillsonburg. Once I retired from my regular job, I decided to start my own practice. I am presently teaching at the Station Arts Centre in Tillsonburg.

If you have difficulties getting up off the floor to acomplish yoga moves, why not try chair yoga. You will be surprised with all the poses you can accomplish with the use of a chair.
