Do You Ever Feel Unlovable?

by | Aug 18, 2020 | 0 comments

Ever wonder why everyone else is blissfully content in their relationships (and soaking up all the love) when it doesn’t seem possible for you?

Ever blame yourself for the feeling of lacking love?

Maybe you see couples strolling in the park holding hands, or mushy Instagram posts of the perfect pairings and wonder why you’re the only one unsatisfied in your relationship. Maybe you’re longing for the love of a partner, or parent who’s unavailable or has passed, and you feel a hole in your soul from their absence. Or maybe you were raised by an overly critical parent and still carry the weight of thinking something is deeply wrong with you (there’s nothing wrong with you). Or maybe things are fine at home, but at work you answer to people who give favour to others over you.

If you’ve ever felt unlovable, you are not alone.

It’s okay to feel unlovable. It’s okay to name that feeling, too.

This upside down world gives us so many opportunities to decide others are getting the love we can’t quite grasp.

But what you see in the outer world (and on media) is not reality. It’s just not true. Everyone, at some time in their life, longs for deeper love—even the ones you think have it all. Everyone is going through their own invisible heartaches.

Everyone faces heartache and self-doubt at one time or another.

And everyone—including you—is lovable.

We’ve pulled a little clip from our Meditation in the Modern Age teacher training to remind you just how loved you are. Practice this quick meditation to set your heart straight.

Right now, at this very moment, someone is thinking about you with love in their heart. Including us.
