This training is directed by Catherine Satya Stilo. After leaving her 20-year marketing career, Satya went on to study nearly 1000 hours of advanced level training in yoga. She's taught for many studios, companies, and educational institutions throughout Ontario, including assisting DevaTree’s 200-hr teacher trainings, and as a recurring speaker at The Guelph Organic Conference. She offers weekly group yoga classes, private sessions, and workshops in Horning's Mills, Ontario.

Catherine Satya Stilo, E-RYT 200, RYT 1000 Candidate, PDC

With nearly 1000 hours of advanced level training, Satya is a creative teacher blending yoga with a love of food, the art of story, and deep connections with the natural world. She has taught for many studios, companies, and educational institutions throughout Ontario.

Satya is a truth-seeker learning to honour the wisdom of her heart. A few years ago, taking a leap of faith, she left a 20+ year career in manufactured food marketing to follow her passions. That journey led to amazing places: enchanting New Mexico to build crazy tire houses called “Earthships” with visionary architect Mike Reynolds; beautiful Vermont to complete a certificate in Permaculture with Ben Falk at Whole Systems Design; The Big Island for the Hawaii Yoga Festival. Along that journey of self-discovery, she completed her first 200-hr certification with YogaFit® Canada and her Advanced Yoga Teacher Training (RYT-500) with DevaTree. She later pursued a second 200-hr Cross-Disciplinary Yoga™ certification, this time with DevaTree, and continues to work toward her 1000-hour certification—all because one door led to a thousand more doors.

Her experiences from her career, from personal experimentation with eating protocols for fitness competition and health challenges and from training in yoga/Ayurveda give her a very unique perspective on life, food, and learning to truly nourish oneself.

Satya resides in Horning's Mills, ON, offering weekly group yoga classes, private sessions, and workshops. She assists DevaTree’s 200-hour teacher trainings and is a recurring speaker at The Guelph Organic Conference. With her partner John, she actively pursues her passions for permaculture and sustainability. Together, they created Terra Kula Eco-Education—a place where people can grow together, discover optimal health, and live more authentic and connected lives. Visit www.terrakula.org to learn more.
