ONLINE *100-hour Yoga for Anxiety

Long before the pandemic, anxiety was on the rise in North America, impacting people of all ages and backgrounds. Now, with heightened fear and uncertainty (combined with the severing of social connection), more people than ever are finding it difficult to manage everyday stress and anxiety.

Anxiety comes in many forms and expressions. Some people experience a feeling of recurring or constant overwhelm, specific phobias, panic attacks, social phobias, alternating bouts of anxiety and depression, unexplainable surges of anxiety, obsessions and compulsions, ruminating on past hurts and betrayals, PTSD, and more.

Yoga offers us a practice to soothe our nervous system and shift into a calmer state of being.

In this course you’ll learn tools and practices to help you and your students manage general symptoms of anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Students will take a deep dive into conscious breathwork, soul-healing meditations, and new approaches to adrenal health and nutrition that impact our mood and emotional well-being.

Beyond typical yoga poses, you’ll learn the true causes of anxiety, how to best support your liver and adrenal glands, and how to manage the hidden impact of liver stress so your body can use its energy reserves to support you. Learn key restorative poses, as well as psoas muscle attunement practices that help release deep trauma.

Discover the impact of toxic adrenaline on your health and learn how to begin to reverse adrenal fatigue with the help of Anthony William’s body of work. William’s work is the only organic (community-led, unsponsored) health movement healing hundreds of thousands globally. Each trauma sensitive practice will support emotional healing for you and your students.

Our training schedule is intentionally relaxed, spread out over 5 months to allow maximum integration and minimal stress. With a combination of synchronous and asynchronous learning, you’ll learn from the comfort of home, while expanding your community of support.

Together we’ll create a comprehensive blueprint for self-compassion in uncertain times.

Tamika and Carolyn are both experienced, registered therapists (RSW, MSW), however this course is not intended to cure anxiety, depression, or other symptoms and conditions. This course does not replace the need for individualized support from your medical and/or health care professional.

*Indicates core curriculum. At least 150 hours of your 500-hour certification must be made up of core courses. After completion of your 200-hour certification, an additional 300 hours are required to complete your Advanced training at the 500-hour level. Students from all 200-hour traditions are welcome. You do not have to be a yoga instructor to take this program.
